Board of Directors’ Meeting Minutes

August 18, 2015

  Monument Sanitation Board Meeting Room

 

The meeting was called to order by Board President, Greg Davis, at 6:37 PM.

 

Board  members  present:  Greg Davis, Deb Guillan, Matt Dunston &  Mark Weidner.

 

 

Approval of the Agenda:  Deb Guillan made a motion to approve the agenda as written.  The motion was seconded by Mark, and approved unanimously.

 

Approval of Absence: Greg Davis made a motion to approve Patrick Quinlans’s AbsenceSeconded by Matt, and approved unanimously.

 

Resident Remarks: None

 

ACC Report:  Matt Dunston gave this report   A new home to be built on Colonial Park and  Driveway  paving.

 

105 Cornerstone Light Replacement:  A Motion to pay $200.00 or less to have the lights installed at the 105 Monument.  Made by Greg.  Seconded by Mark.  Unanimous Approval.

 

Colonial Park Monument Improvement:    Ignacio has the Colonial Park Cornerstone remodel well underway.  Some challenges along the way.  The work will continue until completion.

 

Committee Reports:

 

Beautification, Trails & Roads:  Al Thaught has worked on the trail near his home.  A lg. tree was cut up & removed by Chris Mettes.  The remaining trails will be worked over at a Workday for Bent Tree Homeowners, sign up and more information at the September Homeowner Meeting.

 

Communications: No Report or discussion.

 

Covenant Compliance:  Mark gave a report of a wedding reception notification at a Bent Tree Property.  A shuttle Bus will bring guests to and from the home.

 

Engineering and Water Augmentation:  The #12 Retention Pond has been repaired.  More silt will be removed in the near future.  The remaining outstanding water cards will be sought out.

 

 

Forest Management: Mark reported as it has been a wet year, pine trees aren’t as likely to be stressed and get weak enough for a pine beetle attack.  He brought up the idea of waiting another year.  He will present this idea of waiting another year for beetle inspection at the September Homeowner’s Meeting.

 

Neighborhood Watch: No report or discussion.

 

Welcoming:   Chuck’s report indicates giving three new welcome packets.  Follow up visits with four new residents in the next 2-3 weeks.  Five pending sales.

 

.Board meeting minutes:  Minutes for the July board meeting were presented.  After correction,

Motion to approve by Mark, seconded by Matt.  Unanimous Approval.

 

Treasurer’s Report: A motion was made to approve paying Marla and reimbursing Deb Guillan for the $10.00 State Report for Corporation.  Made by Matt.  Seconded by Gregg.  Unanimous approval.

Matt explained the cost of getting the Colonial Park Monument repaired and completed is above the original thoughts.  He presented $15,000 as the actual cost.  A motion to approve this cost for the East Side Cornerstone Remodel was made by Matt.  Seconded by Mark.  Unanimous Approval.

Future Meeting Schedule:

Annual Homeowners Meeting: Thursday, September 17th, 6:30 P.M.,  Woodmoor  Improvement Association Barn, 1691 Woodmoor Drive.

Regular Board Meetings : 3rd Tuesday, 6:30 P.M., Monument Sanitation District; July 21st, Aug 18th,Sept. 8th, Oct. 20, Nov. 17th, & Dec.15th. Jan. 19th.  Feb 16th.
